Amazon Software Development Engineer III, Aurora Limitless Database (Level 6) in Berlin, Germany

Description

Are you an experienced database kernel developer looking to be part of a team building large scale database services in the cloud? Do you want to revolutionize the way people manage vast volumes of data in the cloud where you have direct and immediate impact on hundreds of thousands of users who use AWS database services?

Aurora Limitless Database combines novel distributed database techniques with an innovative serverless platform and heat management capabilities to automatically scale to millions of write transactions per second and manages petabytes of storage within a single database. Limitless Database builds on top of Aurora, a distributed, fault-tolerant database service, leveraging a self-healing storage system that auto-scales up to 128TB in a single volume. Aurora is one of the fastest-growing AWS services, with business and engineering decisions having a widespread impact across many of the world's fastest growing businesses! Our customers depend on the performance of our services to scale and support their mission-critical workloads.

We are looking for software engineers who have extensive experience working in relational database engine internals. Experience with PostgreSQL development and knowledge of distributed databases concepts will be an added advantage.
