THE OPPORTUNITY:
This remote opportunity is open to candidates residing anywhere in the
United States or Canada.
The Product Owner is responsible for the continuous delivery of value to
the market, customers, and users for their products. They engage their
stakeholders in making data-driven decisions regarding which features
and functionality to build and the order in which to build them. The
senior product owner is responsible for the entire product lifecycle and
the overall success of their products and the VelocityEHS platform in
the market. They are responsible for acting as the product owner on
their scrum teams, effectively collaborating with the development team
to ensure they rapidly build what customers and the market need.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Gathers and documents project requirements, including workflow
diagrams when appropriate
- Creates and refines backlog items
- Manages backlog priority, giving scrum teams focus
- Leads scrum activities
- Gathers stakeholder feedback
- Collaborates with members from other teams to manage dependencies
and remove blockers
- Understand and troubleshoots issues affecting a
product/feature/service
- Proactively addresses potential issues before they become larger
issues
- Produces release notes
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Min 3+ years of product management experience
- Basic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with Enterprise SaaS solutions
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in Project Management
- Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Building a Business Intelligence system
- Experience with data analytics
