Cleveland Clinic Senior Financial Analyst I-Medicare/Medicaid Reimbursement in Cleveland, Ohio

Our department is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to their dedicated team of caregivers. In this role, you will provide Financial or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) data, metrics and standard or ad hoc reporting to support the needs of the organization. Additional responsibility for standard general ledger reconciliations, expense analysis and chargemaster may be needed.

A qualified candidate should have the following experience:

  • Prepares and files Medicare and Medicaid cost reports on a timely and accurate basis

  • Prepares interim cost reports for internal reporting needs

  • Manages all external third party audits of information filed

  • Maintains current knowledge of third party regulations

  • Is able to use the cost reports for obtaining requested information and as an analytical tool

  • Maintains acceptable level of operational knowledge for assigned hospitals, keeps informed of changes and proposes cost report handling.

  • Assists on compliance issues as required

  • Assists with third party estimated for financial statements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, analyzes and communicates key financial information.

  • Provides support to management and other staff members regarding financial reporting and other issues.

  • Assists with budget preparation, budget review for compliance and financial planning processes.

  • Consults with all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.

  • Performs special projects and duties related to research, forecasting and conflict resolution as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.

  • Master's degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Account (CMA) certification preferred.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Ability to complete sophisticated analytical, consultative and information support through analysis and report preparation.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills, and the ability to lead projects and people.

  • Strong understanding of key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis and proposal development.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum four years financial or revenue cycle management or general analytical experience.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Offset: Master's degree and three years of experience.

  • Offset: Cleveland Clinic Finance Fellow experience may offset one year of required experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.

  • In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $27.65

Maximum hourly: $42.17

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
