Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as an Ground and Flight Support Engineering Services Support Technician (on-site).

This position will be responsible to the Site Executive, while being administratively assigned to the Airborne Multi-Mission Integration & Test Engineering function. Additionally, the selectee will have reporting responsibilities to external offices that may include the Raytheon Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Office, and other customer assigned points of contacts.

Main responsibilities include support of various on-site activities that support integration and test and support to the Aviation Safety office to ensure DCMA compliance. Responsibilities will also include management of the site HAZMAT program, management of the site Machine Shop and management of the remote site ground support team.

This position is an onsite role.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically Requires: A University Degree and / or a minimum 5 years as a lead installer / technician.

  • Experience testing and troubleshooting Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) cabin equipment and installed system accessories on U.S. Navy P-8 aircraft.

  • Experienced AAS Pod Team Load member (upload/download operations).

  • Experience as a qualified Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) coordinator (inspect, maintain, and coordinate disposal of HAZMAT).

  • Active and transferrable US government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Twenty (20) years’ technical experience with circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, assembly processes, computer hardware and security processes.

  • Minimum Fifteen (15) years as a machinist and working within a machine shop environment.

  • Experience Managing a Ground Support Technical Team with setup, support, and operation of ground test equipment in remote locations to support flight testing.

  • Experience in manufacturing processes and programming, machinist.

  • Well versed in fiber optic power meters and light source and oscilloscopes attenuators.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project

management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
