Test and Validation Engineer

As a validation and test engineer, you will work with a team of engineers, scientists, and researchers to develop the next generation of microelectronic designs critical to our national interests. You'll assist your colleagues and clients in performing validation, qualification, and characterization by applying commercial best-practices to test and evaluate newly fabricated microelectronics devices. Research and implement new and novel approaches for validation in the unique DoD design environment. You'll provide technical management support and strategic assessments of new technologies to support senior DoD decision-makers, including conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility of and potential applications for new technological concepts. You'll produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government research and development efforts.

You Have:
5+ years of experience in an ASIC or FPGA test and validation role
Experience with lab tools and software, such as NI LabVIEW, Multisim, and PSpice
Experience with developing and executing test plans and reports to document progress and results of lab bench testing
Experience with test board development and implementation
Experience with performing technical research, documenting results, and presenting findings to customers and stakeholders
Experience with leading independent or small technical groups in planning, executing, and delivering complete projects
Knowledge of complex design specifications
Ability to research and document using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Nice If You Have:
Experience with modern verification tools and techniques, including simulation, emulation, formal, or prototyping
Experience with scripting languages, including C, C++, Python, MATLAB, or TCL
Knowledge of problems and solutions associated with modern hardware security and trust
Knowledge of device failure analysis technique
Knowledge of lab based trojan detection and assurance assessment
Knowledge of IP block or SoC level verification
Ability to be self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a client-service mindset, seek out solutions, and deliver value within uncertain and evolving project environments
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
