DEA's Mountain West Region (MWR) is looking to hire a Regional Business
Services Leader (RBSL) to support offices in Utah, Colorado, Idaho and
Eastern Washington. This position can be located in Denver, Salt Lake
City, Boise, Spokane, or Coeur d'Alene. This is a part-time regional
leadership position and reports to the Business Services Manager. As a
part-time position, the Regional Business Services Leader will fulfill
additional responsibilities at the discretion of the Business Services
Manager. Anticipated hours for this position will be 20 hours per week.
The RBSL analyzes trends and opportunities relating to the support services
team including, but not limited to, utilization, workshare, increased
efficiencies and support services staffing for the region and updates the
Business Services Manager regarding trends and opportunities for enhanced
productivity, efficiency, and recognition as well as issues within the
region. The RBSL makes recommendations to the Business Services Manager
regarding process and efficiency improvements and seeks feedback regarding the
effectiveness of business support services from the regional managers of
business units and centers of excellence.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Office Administrators including setting expectations and managing to
expectations
Work with direct reports to develop robust Success Plans; monitor progress
made by direct reports, be invested in their success, and provide
leadership as they work to achieve or exceed expectations
Be an effective coach: build competence through coaching employees
Empower people and delegate authority
Conduct performance appraisals of direct reports
Model DEA's cultural drivers
Build a sense of morale and community within the region
Responsible for the regional people result of the support services team, the
regional client service result for the support services team, and the
regional financial performance result of meeting or beating labor and expense
budgets
Manage the regional cost structure in support of business unit and center of
excellence performance and growth targets
Manage overhead expenses including facilities and regional support staff
utilization
Oversee sustainability coordinators and committees
Assist with implementation of firm-wide initiatives in the region
Work with the Business Services Manager in support services hiring and
workload balancing
Oversee Health and Safety meetings in the region
Availability to travel within the region

Desired Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of experience managing multi-office operations successfully
Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
