Co-op (\"BFC\") Grocery Team Members are the public face of the Co-op,
providing friendly customer service while aiding the Grocery department.
They answer customer questions while maintaining department backstock,
displays, and have a working knowledge of Grocery products. They are
committed to excellence in retail and service standards, ensuring
smooth, safe and efficient operations, and curating an exceptional
customer experience. They work to achieve the collective goals of the
organization and support the Ends, Vision, Culture and Values of the
Co-op. The Co-op is looking for a team-player who is passionate about
people and customer service. The individual would be supporting the
closing shifts. Responsibilities & Duties (other duties may be
assigned) - Practices a total store approach to customer service,
responds promptly to customer service needs in all departments - Aids in
taking and processing buying club orders; answers questions in relation
to buying club - Stock displays fully without overcrowding; face items
on shelves - Maintains knowledge of products and weekly ad items
throughout the grocery department - Label item accurately with price
tags or signs. Report price discrepancies to the receiving team -
Contributes to building a positive team spirit; display enthusiasm and
promote a friendly group work environment Skills and Requirements: -
Strong customer service skills - Excellent verbal communication and
organizational attitude - Ability to follow instructions and
procedures - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
with a professional and friendly attitude - Ability to work both
independently and as part - Has a passion for our community and must
love food! Physical Requirements: - Must be able to stand up to
eight hours a day - Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds at a time
independently or with assistance on an occasional to frequent basis -
Ability to use fine motor skills - Ability to adapt to changes in
temperature due to opening doors, coolers and freezers - Ability to
bend, stoop, reach, crouch, walk, kneel, push, pull and twist
repeatedly - Ability to lift product overhead and/or climb ladders with
product - Ability to remember product placement and back stock - Ability
to read small print - Ability to tolerate exposure to noise from
machinery and the general environment - Ability to write notes, emails,
and items of a similar nature on a computer, touch screen, or by hand
