Position: Manufacturing Engineer JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer
ensures the development of manufacturing processes and methods to
improve safety, quality, productivity, while reducing waste. All
customer specifications are to be achieved, while in accordance with
company policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prioritize our
Safety Culture in your thoughts, actions, and interactions. Create and
sustain a positive and healthy working environment leveraging the use of
the Servant Leadership Model of skills and techniques. Provide a
leadership role for lean initiatives and continuous improvement. This
includes participating and leading multidiscipline Kaizen Events to
resolve manufacturing problems and the continuous improvement of
processes and key performance metrics while reducing waste. Collaborate
with design and quality engineers to ensure manufacturability of new
products. Ensure ECN\'s are maintained and all resulting activities of
change notices are completed on time. Develop and implement new
manufacturing processes, including equipment selection, tooling design,
material flow optimization, and ergonomic workstations. Conduct
feasibility studies for new equipment and technologies, considering
factors such as cost, capacity, and integration with existing systems.
Select and implement appropriate tools and equipment to optimize
production lines. Occasionally oversee and train production personnel on
new processes and equipment. Develop and maintain technical
documentation, including process flow charts, manufacturing work
instructions, and control plans. Analyze and optimize existing
manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and
waste reduction. Conduct and lead Problem Solving activities to identify
and eliminate root causes. Stay up-to-date on the latest manufacturing
technologies and best practices. Act as a technical resource to vendors,
customers, and all other departments to address and resolve inquiries
and problems related to manufacturing processes and methods. EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor\'s degree in Manufacturing Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in a
manufacturing environment preferred. Strong understanding of
manufacturing processes, including machining, fabrication, assembly,
functional testing, and quality control. Experience with process
improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus. Excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication,
collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office
Suite and engineering software (CAD, CAM) is preferred. MRA is an Equal
