What You Will Do
The Manufacturing Engineer performs various engineering calculations,
investigations, and tasks pertaining to the design and development of
manufacturing equipment, processes, and tooling. Adhering to established
engineering standards, they apply robust engineering principles to
achieve optimal manufacturing solutions in alignment with quality and
global standards. Their responsibilities include researching,
specifying, evaluating, and recommending new automation, equipment, and
processes, as well as sustaining existing processes and equipment by
identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and productivity
enhancements. They may oversee small to medium-sized projects from start
to completion in accordance with company policies.
- Perform manufacturing engineering assignments by following defined
processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Conduct technical investigations.
- Prioritize work to meet assignment expectations.
- Develop test plans working with mentor and review results with the
team.
- Develop and evaluate formal project requests.
- Manage technical manufacturing engineering related projects with
limited scope or phases of a more complex technical project.
- Prepare reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to
communicate project progress or results.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve issues; and escalate
problems/roadblocks as they occur.
- Analyze and create technical documentation.
- Compile test records and documentation.
- Collaborate with more experienced engineers and coordinate
cross-functionally to accomplish assigned tasks.
What You Will Bring
- Required Degree: Pursuing or completed bachelor\'s degree in
mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology,
equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Years of Experience: 2-4 years.
- Experience with punch equipment, stamping, or extrusion die design
is a plus.
