facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin consists of state-of-the-art
laboratories, collaborative workspaces and a friendly environment to
empower our team to push technology limits. Primary Function As a Senior
Electronics Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in our research
and development activities by supporting the design, build, and
verification of custom electronic test setups for laboratory equipment,
conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing test data, and
troubleshooting results. Your expertise will help ensure the success of
our advanced technology projects for A. O. Smith water heating and
treating product lines. Responsibilities Circuit Board Assembly -
manually assemble and solder circuit boards including surface-mount and
through-hole components; low volume custom boards supporting research
experiments. CAD Design - use schematic, layout and routing software
such as Altium to design medium complexity circuit boards with guidance
from senior research team. Electronic Systems Build - assemble and
integrate electronic systems in support of research projects. Includes
but not limited to power supplies, sensors, controllers, and wire
harnesses. Electronic Troubleshooting - independently diagnose and
resolve issues in electronic systems. Lab Experiments - plan, execute,
and collect test data for laboratory experiments using standard
electronics lab equipment under the direction of the senior research
team. Collaboration - work in a cross-functional team environment
including electronics lab technicians and experienced team of
researchers to research project experimentation needs. Role Specific
