We are looking for a driven technician to join our Vehicle Calibration team. This role will support a team of engineers that focuses on the calibration and in-vehicle verification of heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicle functions. The selected individual will work in a global, cross-divisional, and innovative team to support the
development and calibration of "Best in Class" vehicle functions for North America.

Division Information
The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Prepares and installs test instrumentation on Class 5-8 vehicles
Manages and coordinates work orders for the vehicle calibration team's fleet of vehicles to ensure timely resolution of electrical and mechanical vehicle issues.
Remove and replace test parts before and after testing
Troubleshoot test vehicle issues that affect instrumentation operation of the truck during test
Maintain organize project documentation: communications activity status and issues in a timely fashion
Maintain the highest level of work area cleanliness and organization
Performs duties safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
Collect, monitor, and process test data
Develop specialize test equipment as needed
Operate vehicle ECU monitoring software such as ATI Vision
Maintains positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions
Education Requirements
Associate in Technical Arts degree in Diesel Power Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or equivalent
Or
High school graduate with vocational training and 3+ years of experience in automotive repair & maintenance.
Required Qualifications
Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability and desire to obtain
Basic knowledge of in-vehicle engine calibration, data acquisition systems, OBD, and engine control systems
Basic knowledge of automotive communication protocols: J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN-bus, LIN-bus
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively
Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgment required
Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands.
Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
Experience with diesel engines and Class 5-8 vehicles
Experience with BEV powertrains
2+ years of experience supporting vehicle development, integration, or test
