Job Description
The Manager, Talent is responsible for a broad range of human resources generalist activities, reporting to the Associate Director, Talent at Heartbeat. You will help oversee employee relations, immigration, and learning & development. You should have flawless attention to detail, be highly organized, comfortable with public speaking, able to juggle a number of items, and prioritize and have the maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information with poise.
Serves as a point of contact for people managers with questions or employee challenges, providing counseling for numerous facets of employment management, including employee relations issues, performance management process, policy interpretation and compliance
Leads efforts related to talent management initiatives including internal trainings, early careers programs, and other learning & growth initiatives
Partners with legal counsel to mitigate risk and ensure that policies, practices and employment decisions comply with federal and state employment laws
Conducts exit interview meetings, tracking/summarizing meeting information, identifying trends and escalating concerning patterns as needed
Pro-actively identifies areas for process improvement
Takes on projects as necessary relating to achievement of People and business objectives
Qualifications
Across 5 years of experience, you know what it takes to slay Talent. These are the core skills you’ve totally nailed:
Prior experience in a human resources generalist role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels of management and personnel
Proven experience in handling of employee relations issues, with ability to navigate policy, yet find creative solutions and maintain an open mind to each unique situation
Ability to organize and prioritize work and deliver with a sense of urgency
Ability to operate in undefined areas (“gray areas”) with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
Desire to understand culture and business priorities and take initiative to make improvements to HR practices in order to align with each
Ability to work autonomously yet seek counsel when necessary
Strong ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining extraordinary attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Compensation Range: $70,000- $110,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
