Job Summary: Paint Prep is responsible for preparing the vehicles and
parts for final paint ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Prepare surface for
painting using body filler, Dual Action (DA) and a variety of pneumatic
grinders - Grind, file and sand surfaces of vehicle and parts - Examine
and feel all surfaces of metal to detect defects - Operate, clean, and
maintain all necessary equipment - Liaise with supervisor on problems to
achieve efficient repair - Maintain a clean and tidy work area -
Identify abnormalities and repairs required as result of internal
actions and advise the supervisor accordingly - Work in an efficient and
timely manner - Undertake relevant training and development as
required - Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuring
that deadlines are met - Maintain cooperative working relationships, and
demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population - Record
all hours worked accurately ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Respond to
incoming vendor phone calls - Provide follow up with vendors to ensure
timely delivery of goods - Maintain active vendor records - Maintain
Bill of Materials on all company products - Exercise discretion and
individual judgement with respect to Company matters - Adhere to and
carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies - Maintain
confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines
where appropriate - Understand and comply with safety and environmental
policies - Other duties as assigned INTERACTION WITH: - All departments
including multi-level management - Vendor interaction EXPERIENCE: -
Minimum of 2 years\' experience - 2 years\' of ERP/MRP System experience
required EDUCATION: - High school diploma or GED equivalent KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Working knowledge of Sage Pro or enterprise
inventory software - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excellent
communication skills - Experience with purchasing procedures -
Negotiation skills - Contracts experience - Computer literate -
Excellent listening skills - Ability to work independently - Meet
deadlines - Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract,
divide and multiply) - Ability to communicate via email and telephone -
Attention to detail PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Must be able to pass physical
exam - Ability to lift a maximum of 70 lbs. - Extended periods of
sitting - Good Vision with or without corrective lenses - Good hearing
