(HSM) started a small production of furniture springs in Hickory, NC. We
are a leading supplier of diversified components for the bedding,
furniture, and GSA industries. We also produce polyester fiber batting,
formed steel wire, flexible polyurethane foam fabrication. Hickory
Springs, continues to extend its original product lines to include
sleeper mechanisms, adjustable bed bases, roll packed mattresses and
fabric encased micro coils. The diversification of our process and

social media pages. Responsibilities Performs major coiler machine
setups according to specifications Monitors coil size and quality
Assures all machines have back-up coil and helical wire near machine
Check, identify and tag innersprings Load and compress bales Push the
bale onto a handcart and move into a staging area Performs preventative
maintenance Safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment Proper
use of personal protective equipment Actively participate in
housekeeping requirements for the department Other duties as assigned
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 6 months
of previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but
not required for consideration Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions. Ability to effectively and efficiently manage time and
targets. Ability to record quality and production information on
records. Ability to read print and using measurement tools, effectively
evaluate part for conformity. Ability to read instructions for
operation, gauging, or other instructions needed for job. Basic reading
and writing skills are necessary Basic math skills Basic computer skills
Strong communication skills While performing the essential functions of
this job the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time
and use hands to grasp, handle or feel. Employee may on occasion be
required to speak, hear, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and/or
move up to 40 pounds. Employee may also be requested to extended shifts,
work overtime, and/or weekends. Employee must be willing and able to
abide by all safety policies. Duties are performed primarily at a
manufacturing setting and may expose employee to loud noise levels,
extreme temperatures, chemicals and fumes, and moving mechanical parts.
Work is completed in a non-climate controlled plant environment and
employee will have frequent interaction with managers and other
employees. Standard hazards within a manufacturing plant where safety
precautions and personal protective equipment must be maintained at all
