The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for ensuring optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. The role of the Maintenance Electrician is crucial to the overall manufacturing process of our products. Job Responsibilities * Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. * Performs general electronic inspections, diagnosis, repairs and replacements autonomously. * Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. * Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions. * Performs electric and electronic activities such as low voltage panel repairs, PLC programs loading or DC/AC engines speed control. * Interprets electrical drawings. * Detects abnormalities on sensors, actuators or variable speed drives. * Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports. * Performs electrical, electronic, automation and electromechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, overhead cranes, electrical installations of the building (600 VAC and below), offices installations. * Knowledge to perform or assist on electrical installations using EMT, rigid, liquid tight conduits; install wire ways, disconnects, junction box; run wires, cables, network cables according to NEC. Job Qualifications * Physical activities required are climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, twisting, bending, talking and hearing. * Have working knowledge of OSHA regulations. * Have strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Have working knowledge of PLC and computerized controlled automated systems, equipment and functions. * Have working experience with 480V/3 phase industrial equipment and controls. * Be able to read and understand blueprints. * At least three years prior experience in electrical and/or electronic position. * Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent. * Some weekends, nights and holidays when needed.
