opening for a Manufacturing Tech I.
Purpose and Scope:
The purpose of this Manufacturing Tech I position is to process
components through the liner process.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up and operating machinery in support of the
production process.
- Performs operations per specifications on drawing/print and
documented procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (i.e., utility knife) and machines
(i.e., sandblaster, speed lathe).
- Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of quality control principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Complete daily production logs as required.
- Complete required equipment maintenance checks.
- Responsible for complying with internal quality systems and
procedures.
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
- High School education or GED required.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must follow detailed instructions, do accurate work at a rapid pace
and meet scheduling deadlines.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive
tasks quickly and methodically.
- Available to work overtime as required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be
required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The
employee is occasionally required to push/pull and reach above
shoulder level. The employee must be able to carry/lift up to 40
pounds and be able to rotate item being handled.
- Work on feet for entire shift.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Skills, Education & Experience:
- Previous mechanical or other manufacturing experience preferred.
- Autoclave and/or Sandblast experience is a plus.
- Experience with measuring equipment.
- Ability to read part drawings (flag notes, dimensions, tolerances).
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal
supervision.
