JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Presidential Leadership Academy (PLA) at Penn State is a prestigious program that cultivates leadership skills and fosters personal growth among exceptional students. We are seeking a dedicated  Student Engagement Specialist  to join the Schreyer Honors College team and contribute to the success of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of PLA and the Dean to develop and implement impactful cocurricular programs and trips for PLA students.

  • Manage budgets for trips, events, branded gift inventory, and overall unit operations in coordination with the PLA Director, College Financial Office, and Procurement.

  • Maintain accurate student records in LionPath and local databases.

  • Serve as a liaison for communications with the President’s Office, benefactors, students, alumni, and donors.

  • Handle administrative tasks, including meeting scheduling and financial transactions.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field ( Master’s preferred).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Experience in budget management and event coordination.

  • Familiarity with student record systems ( LionPath , Canvas) is a plus.

    This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
