Job Description
Our Wheat Ridge, CO laboratory is looking for an environmental Lab
Technician to join their General Chemistry team! The General Chemistry
department focuses on typical wet chemistry testing (pH, TSS, BOD,
anions, TOC, etc.). The Lab Technician will prepare samples with
accuracy and precision in accordance to SGS's analytical SOPs. The Lab
Technician works independently and as part of a team to meet daily production
targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met. The Lab Technician

Job Functions
After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis
according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to
the department and analytical methodologies
Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep
instruments/equipment
May assist with validation and MDL studies.
Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory
functions/operations.
Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry
Laboratories or prior experience working with one's hands (Required)
Associates Degree in a Chemistry or similar scientific discipline and 1-2
years of years' relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories
(Preferred)
Advanced English language skills (Required)
Basic mathematical and reasoning skills (Required)
Basic computer skills (Required)
Ability to lift/carry/push or pull upwards of 25 lbs on a frequent basis
(Required)
This position pays $20-$22.50 per hour (dependent on experience) and
is eligible for overtime.
