POSITION: 1ST SHIFT KILL FLOOR SUPERINTENDENT
Hours :
1 st shift- flexible as needed
Saturday’s required
Responsibilities & Expectations :
Responsible for overseeing the Harvest floor operations on second shift.
Direct supervisors with respect to production volume, efficiency, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
Ensure a safe work environment for the department by following established safety policies and procedures and working with safety department to correct any deficiencies.
Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and develop team work to attain department objectives.
Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments.
Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
Work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in the department
Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.
Attend meetings as scheduled and called
Perform other duties as needed or assigned
Qualifications :
College degree preferred but not required
Must have extensive knowledge of the Harvest floor operation and the industry
Must be people oriented; be able to understand employees needs and good motivator.
Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational, math and statistical skills
Good work history and attendance
Team Player with leadership skills
