An exciting staff position for an experienced workshp technician to join our team based in Aberdeen on full time basis.

Main job purpose is to provide maintenance and servicing of all of the Rotating Control Device (RCD) System in accordance with company procedures and in conjunction with the industry standards, quality and safety management systems and to provide quality safety critical compliant equipment fit for purpose both Mechanical & Electrical.

Work efficiently and cost effective, assist with the control of assets and inventory so that operational requirements are met. Responsible for the RCD consumables and spares for all projects and to support the Application Engineers and communicate with the MPD Management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To maintain ALL RCD Equipment within the Product

  • To rig up, operate, and maintain ALL RCD Equipment onshore at the workshop site and to assist Operations according to Customer and Clients

  • To plan and coordinate the Surface RCD maintenance within the department so that Operational requirements meet deadlines and to prevent equipment

  • Assist the Stores Person in relation to preparing shipments and controlling minimum stock levels and critical spares for ALL RCD Equipment.

  • To load and off load transportation in safe and diligent manner. Additionally, to ensure good housekeeping is maintained within workshop and yard area, and on customers work site offshore, onshore and other customer

  • To conduct FAT's on instrumentation systems & equipment prior to

  • Any other delegated task as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

  • Particiate in oncall duties as required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3-6 years experience in Mechanical capacity

  • Relevant Mechanical Qualifications (College or University degree)

  • Basic maintenance skills and fault finding for both mechanical and electrical/hydraulic

  • Must be keen and show aptitude to develop skills and understanding of Surface MPD/instrumentation/ hydraulic

  • Experience with Pressure testing

  • Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment

  • Forklift, overhead crane certifiacte (Desirable)
