Description:
Operates numerically controlled horizontal lathe to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts such as castings, forgings, and bar stock by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Duties:
-Operate a variety of CNC lathes. Mainly Mazak
-Edit basic CNC functions, make adjustments with programs (if they are capable)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST:
-At least 3 years of CNC Machine Operating Experience
-Lathe experience, Mazak, DGM Morio
Experience settting up machines
Ability to do change overs
Ability to find work ordinance (G54, G55)
-Experience with Mics, Cals and Blueprints
-Ability to multitask will be operating more than one machine at once. (Typically are running two at one time)
- Know geometric tolerances
-Familiar with G&M Codes (Some Programming G codes M codes Knowledge is required in order to be a CNC Set up Operator)
-Should know machining speeds and feeds
-Interpret blueprints, will take a machining test! (mostly math and basic CNC stuff)
-Must know gauging and inspections of parts
-Must be able to hold .0002 tolerance on machined parts
-Read blueprints and follow written verbal instructions
-Experience with Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerance
-Indicated vises, fixtures
-Set-up lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments
-Experience with measuring and inspection tools
PLUS:
-Experience running Mazak
-Experience with Moreseki
-Strong troubleshooting experience
