Position The Preventative Maintenance Technician performs scheduled PM
maintenance on all production and support machinery. This third shift
position maintains machinery and equipment used in fabricating metal
parts and tools. Responsibilities Promotes Safety as the Number One
Priority of OMG employees. Confers with machine operators and group
leaders to coordinate assigned preventative maintenance activities.
Keeps records on all machine PM results. Checks safety devices on all
machines. Recommends measures to improve production methods and
equipment performance. Work unscheduled shifts and over time to insure
maintenance coverage and maximum production efficiency. Assists facility
maintenance as required. Performs other tasks as assigned. Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret
documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent. Ability to apply
commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must possess a
valid driver\'s License and certified to operate all assigned industrial
lifts. Knowledge of basic repairs, welding and cutting procedures,
setting up and operating general machine shop equipment and correct use
of machinist\'s measurement tools. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel,
crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls,
reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or
move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include up close vision,
depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Strong sense of
responsibility and ownership, and able to work as a team player.
