Joni and Friends Coordinator, International Ministries in Agoura Hills, California

Duties:

Under the supervision of the Executive Assistant to the Senior VP of International Ministries , this person will support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ International Ministries department. Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to International Regional Directors in an efficient, timely, and effective manner

  • Make travel arrangements for ministry and/or ministry related engagements

  • Organization of selected phone calls, correspondence, and other mail to include drafting letters and answering or managing emails

  • Preparing and tracking expense reports

  • Creating agendas, preparing reports and summaries as needed, and taking minutes at meetings as needed/requested and distributing accordingly

  • Gather data via Salesforce, Certify, and other software applications. Provide standard reports.

  • Participate in ongoing training in Salesforce, Certify, and any other software applications

  • Arrange details for select IRD’s meetings both in person and on Teams or Zoom

  • Processing of Joni and Friends agreements and internal forms as needed

  • Submit thorough, timely, and accurate IM monthly reports, staff Visa/Expense reports and accounts payable requests

  • Assist with event payment processing and wire transfers

  • Assist in annual events and conferences. Limited travel may be required

  • Order and manage purchasing of Joni and Friends resources as needed

  • Administration set-up requests for new International Team members

  • Assist with hosting international guests, plan and coordinate visits to the IDC

  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs

    Qualifications:

  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith

  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry

  • Minimum of three years of administrative support background experience preferred

  • Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines

  • Must be detail oriented, committed to accuracy, and a team player who is flexible and able to work independently

  • Must have a strong sense of confidentiality

  • Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet

  • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable

    The compensation for this position is $21.50 - $24.00 per hour, and it will be based on the area in which you live as this can be a remote position.
