JOB TITLE: Human Resources & Equity Coordinator
MUSTS: Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver s license.
Must have a related college degree and/or 4 years experience with Human
Resources (HR), preferably in a non-profit. Must have proficiency with
Google Suite (Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets). Must have experience
with implementing DEI training or programs. Must have strong ability to
connect with others across all backgrounds. Must be well-organized and have
strong communication skills. Must be able to pass a background check and/or dr
SKILLS: Training/experience with Ombuds, non-violent communication,
or similar programs. Bilingual in Spanish, preferred. Knowledge and
passion for the SLV Local Foods Coalition and mission to foster an equitable
local food system.
DUTIES: The HR/Equity Coordinator will join a dynamic team at a
grassroots non-profit working to foster an equitable local food system in the
Sa Luis Valley. This is accomplished through the Rio Grande Farm Park, a
farmer incubator and educational farm; the Valley Roots Food Hub, an
online wholesale and retail local grocery store; Cooking Matters, a
bilingual cooking and nutrition education program; and Local Foods Local
Places, an economic development and strategic planning effort. Together we
can make a significant contribution to agriculture, the economy, the
environment, and our community in theSan Luis Valley. Other related duties inc
Provide human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding,
training and development, compensation and benefits, incident reporting
and personnel files, evaluation, workplace culture, compliance,
handovers, and offboarding.
Work with LFC administration and programs to support equitable best
practices, including supporting the development and maintenance of advisory
committees
Provide and/or coordinate mediation between staff and/or with external
partners
Organize internal HR and equity trainings facilitated by outside experts
Manage scheduling and coordinate facilitation of monthly staff meetings and
team-building days
Provide support to the staff pod structure
Develop fair, just, and equitable standards for employee policies and
practices
WAGES: $25-$29/hour. Paid Bi-Weekly.

DURATION: This is a full-time, permanent position.
SHIFT: This is a full-time, 32-40 hours per week, including occasional
evenings and weekends. The exact days and hours are to be determined by the
Employer.
