JOB TITLE: Patrol Sergeant
MUSTS: Must pass extensive background check, initial and random drug
testing. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a valid Colorado
driver's license and good driving record. Must have high school diploma or
equivalent, successful completion of Colorado Peace Officer Standards and
Training (POST) Certified, and be able to legally possess a firearm.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Must be able to
carry a firearm. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
SKILLS: Observant, excellent verbal and written communication and people
skills, reasoning, firearm skills.
DUTIES: Protect the lives, health, welfare, and property of
individuals within the city limits by enforcing municipal, state and federal
ordinances, and laws. Other duties include patrol district, respond to
dispatch calls, and prepare reports, citations, and summons as needed.
Perform other duties related to job. Work will be done in the car,
outside, at the scene of criminal activity, and in the office. Significant
exposure to hazards and dangers associated with law enforcement.
WAGES: $33.31 to $34.98 per hour, depending on
qualifications and experience.

DURATION: This is a permanent position.
SHIFT: This is a full-time job of 40 or more hours per week. Days and shifts
may vary, and will be discussed with and assigned by the employer.
