Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a diligent Assistant Bookkeeper in Albany, New York. In this role, you will be working in the finance industry, specifically focusing on bookkeeping functions. Your primary duties will include processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process customer credit applications. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records. • Handle and resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner. • Monitor customer credit accounts regularly. • Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments when necessary. • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties. • Manage invoicing tasks. • Prepare and process expense vouchers. • Assist in payroll duties. • Provide support to the Fiscal Director as needed. • Utilize skills in Basic Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, Expense Vouchers, and Invoice entry. Requirements • Proficiency in Basic Bookkeeping
• Ability to handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Payroll management
• Familiarity with processing Expense Vouchers
• Capacity to accurately Enter Invoices
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
