We are currently seeking a Senior General Accountant at our Millersburg, Oregon facility to support our growing Finance and Accounting organization!
As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the General Accounting Manager and be an integral part of a dynamic high-performing team. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform crucial tasks including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close related duties, and lead projects as needed.
A successful Senior Accountant is a thought leader, analytical and a critical thinker, and embraces working on finance/accounting projects of various complexity and scope. You’ll use your GAAP knowledge and analytical skills to create and analyze financial statements, perform variance analysis and report to leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for a wide range of month-end close related responsibilities, including balance sheet account reconciliations, and adequate knowledge of US GAAP
Lead Fixed Asset accounting, and serve as an advisor for cross functional teams on asset expense classification (Capital vs Major Maintenance)
Lead Lease Accounting recording, reconciliations and reporting
File monthly State Use and B&O tax; support annual data tax collection
Assist with internal and external audit document collection and reporting
Preparation and submission of various required government reports
Evaluate and make recommendations on various financial activities on correct GAAP accounting treatment and adherence to internal policies
Support a cycle of continuous improvement in process and controls within accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, fixed assets and payroll, included but not limited to report reduction, process automation, improved use of technology, improved communication and data hand-off, and documentation of key assumptions
Lead special projects as required, including new system integrations
Communicate complex thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner to management
Develop and maintain relationships throughout the organization
Support and participate in ad-hoc analysis

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from an accredited institution
At least (2) two years of Accounting or Finance Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle applications, with emphasis in OPM: Oracle Process Management
Accounting or finance experience within manufacturing
Experience with databases and analytic tools
Additional Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Effective organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities/projects simultaneously
Strong ability to take self-initiative and work effectively on independent and team responsibilities
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – (especially Excel)

Salary Range: $76,900 to $99,900/ annually
