We are looking for a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSR Specialist) to service the Albany/Schenectady area. This position is individually designed to improve or maintain the ability of the participant to live as independently as possible in the community. Services may include assessment, training, and supervision of an individual with self-care, communication skills, socialization, sensory/motor skills, community transportation skills, problem solving skills, money management, and skills to maintain a household.The right applicant must have strong communication, empathy, cultural competence, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-3 years of relevant experience working with individuals with SUD disorders and/or SMI or a BA degree. Must have a valid driver's license. This position is eligible for medical reimbursement.
