(6) Scraper Operators: Temporary, Full Time. Minimum 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm variable. Minimum $33.39/hour. Some overtime hours may be available at $50.09/hour. Overtime applies after 40 hours worked per week. On State funded projects in Minnesota, overtime is applied after 8 hours per day. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Wages will be paid weekly. Employment period May 15, 2024, through to November 15, 2024. Workers will report to company HQ in Alexandria, Minnesota at time of hire for orientation and to obtain all PPE. Work will commence in Alexandria, Douglas County, MN and for the entire duration of the season work will be performed in multiple locations in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. We are a mobile operation. Work is linear and travel to different job sites inside Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota will be required. Employer will, at employer's expense, relocate workers to the physical location of the project. We will assign workers to specific job sites as required. All job sites are inside the area of intended employment. Employer will provide optional, free-of-charge transportation to worksites and lodging within close proximity to worksites (maximum 20 miles from worksites). In compliance with company safety program, operate a Scraper to move, haul and grade earth on construction sites. The Scraper Operator inspects, maintains and operates either a self-propelled or pushed scraper, interprets information on grade stakes, strips, excavates, backfills, ditches and stockpiles materials, constructs berms, ramps and roadways, and cuts and spreads fill materials. Must be able to work long hours in adverse conditions including heat, wind, rain and noise. Minimum 6 months experience as a Scraper Operator required. No education requirements. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed for work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
