Wage: $32.00 to $40.00 an hour DOE
Coverage area of Whidbey Island; Coupeville and Oak Harbor Area
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/COTA conducts treatments as assigned by the OT and outlined in the treatment plan to patients in their place of residence.
- Conduct treatments associated with functionality, activities of daily living/ADL's, and fine motor coordination based on the patient's physical, social, and cultural environment.
- Monitor patient's response to intervention and consult with the Occupational Therapist if modification is required.
- Train and educate patient, family, and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Assist the OT in the evaluation process and in identifying short-term and long-term goals and treatment plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an ACOTE accredited 2 year associate OTA degree program.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a COTA in this state.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Minimum 1 year recent work experience as a COTA.
- Must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
- Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and communicating with patients and caregivers.
- Ability to meet productivity expectations, organize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Work independently without supervision, and use good judgment in difficult situations.
- Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
