Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Training Manager to join our team. In this role, you will have the outstanding opportunity to manage newly hired, high-potential, recent college graduates through an outstanding educational and development program for our sales organization. You will partner with business leaders to identify challenges they face on-the-job and recommend innovative ways to increase efficiency by using your established pipeline of job-ready employees. This is a highly visible and impactful role that requires an enthusiastic, nurturing, detail oriented, and committed candidate. Your contributions will directly impact the overall performance of our sales teams and help them achieve ambitious goals.
A day in the Life:
Repeatable end-to-end management of newly hired sales teams
Lead program recruiting, interviewing, and candidate selection
Lead onboarding process for equipment, system logins, and logistics
Own and deliver training content that includes sales tools and resources such as SFDC, sales compensation dashboards, and Power BI.
Prepare new employees for the transition from sales development representative to professional salesperson through education, on-the-job experiences, and coaching
Work closely with sales leaders to proactively identify in-territory sales coverage and permanent placement opportunities for program graduates
Grow the alumni network and foster program graduate contributions to the business
Work collaboratively with Regional VPs and Sales Managers to align sales training curriculum and field performance/behavior expectations to drive sales performance and improve employee retention
Deliver continuous education training programs to any sales audience to support business needs in a fluid competitive and economic landscape
Mentor and support other training programs and members of the training team
Keys to Success:
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, Business Management, Education, or Communications
Minimum Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Deep knowledge of sales tools and resources such as SFDC, ICM, and Power BI
Expertise in explaining performance-based sales compensation plans
Proficiency in sales, coaching, and feedback processes
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to collaborate with all levels of the sales organization
Passion for developing others
Large group and classroom management
Approachable, friendly, and open-minded
