Job Description
The Analyst, Fleet Operations directly supports the responsibilities of the Fleet department by providing financial oversight, being an effective business partner and collaborating on initiatives, analysis, and actionable data. This role will focus on operational efficiency, cost control, areas or opportunity by site/ by unit, EV specific reporting, refurb analysis, optimal holding period and day cab replacement analysis, and vehicle ROIC/ payback.
Job Description:
Oversee all financial aspects of Lazer's internal Fleet function.
Collaborate and support budgets & forecasts.
Monitor and analyze fleet data to improve performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with the FleetRock (FMS) Administrator to identify and drive cost reduction opportunities.
Assist Fleet team with daily requests for data and support.
Month-end operational cost analytics report to include finding cost reduction opportunities and efficiencies.
Format and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports (including EV grant reporting).
Monitor and report utilization and productivity metrics against budgets.
Maintain accurate fleet database.
Analyze Fleet operating costs and identify areas of opportunity.
Provide insightful data that is timely and actionable.
Work with IT to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable database models.
Extract, analyze, transform & load fleet data in different formats/sources to database.
Create BI Dashboards and reporting tools.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years experience
3+ years of business analytics experience in transportation or logistics
Excellent communication and report writing skills
Demonstrated skills necessary for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost management, and process improvement
Experience in reporting software such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Access, SQL Server, GEOTAB (or similar telematics platforms)
Excellent SQL skills to create and maintain database models
Power BI experience
Ability to prepare, present and participate in Executive reviews Proven experience as a Fleet Analyst or similar role
Fleet management (FMS) software experience null
