Responsible for looking at fee schedules for patients & comparing that to what's been billed to the insurance company before comparing it against the EOB to ensure the insurance was billed properly & the claim was processed properly. Identify, based on the outstanding balance, what portion may be the responsibility of insurance or patient. They will determine if the patient has made any payments & validate that they were accounted for towards that balance. They work with Provider Relations Reps versus calling payers directly to reprocess claims, so they will discuss the denials in bulk.
This is a hybrid position 3 days in office, 2 days home (Thursday and Friday)
