Synchrony VP, Common Intake Process Leader in Alpharetta, Georgia

Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP, Common Intake Process Owner to join our team. Leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles, this critical role will drive efficiency and effectiveness in our digital feature build request process across the organization. The ideal candidate is an expert in all salient Synchrony systems and knows which teams need to be involved to get new initiatives built as well as proficient in Jira

In this role you will collaborate closely with Business Change Owners (BCOs), who are stakeholders submitting new ideas for prioritization and execution. You will help them with their Intake Form submissions and ensure they are aligned with business needs and routed to the appropriate business areas for PI prioritization consideration . In addition, you will help ensure 100% visibility for stakeholders as well as the Synchrony Change Governance COE and Client Teams .

In addition to systems expertise, this role also requires strong organization and communication skills as well as the ability to 'troubleshoot' and find solutions to execution questions and issues.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary liaison between initiative submitters (BCOs) and Journey and Channel Execution Teams . Streamlining the submission of feature build requests by validating requirements/epics for readiness and guaranteeing all necessary business areas receive these submissions

  • Provide comprehensive support to Intake Owners , guiding them through process optimization to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow for handling requests.

  • Plan and communicate with business, IT Leadership, and other key stakeholders regarding agile program status, milestones, issue resolution and escalation

  • Develop effective communication strategy across projects and constituencies

  • Ownership of policy/procedure documentation , including the creation of job aides and playbooks

  • Designing, presenting, and disseminating reports regarding trends, status updates, insights, audits, and more

  • Constantly evaluate and refine the intake process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring it aligns with SAFe principles

  • Collaborating with the Change Governance team to ensure transparent, accurate tracking, and visibility of all feature build request submissions

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years' experience in Operations, Program and Project Management, Analytics, Technology Delivery and Change Management or equivalent leadership program experience or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of IT experience

  • Detailed knowledge of how different IT systems interact (ideally SYF-specific systems)

  • Experience and knowledge working in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)

  • Proven track record of leading and enabling organization change initiatives

  • Experience with simplifying operational processes and business models

  • Experience with change management principles and performance evaluation processes

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and inter-dependencies

  • Agile Certification

  • Proven track record of leading and executing on critical business initiatives on-time and within budget

  • Experience managing projects in large banking and financial services companies

  • Strong business acumen and superior decision-making skills

  • Superior oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage expectations of the business, clients, team members, management and external groups

  • Strong cross-functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization

  • Creativity, enthusiasm and energy with a strong customer "can do" attitude and result oriented

  • Ability to understand technical requirements of projects and effectively manage resources, vendors and test efforts

  • Desire to work in an open, collaborative and fast-paced environment

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
