Accelerate the profitable growth track of Philips Air treatment globally and contribute in shaping the future strategy & roadmap with an attractive balance of strategic thinking and hands-on activity in an international business environment.

You are responsible

As Senior Consumer Marketing Manager, you will manage a well-defined portfolio within the air treatment category and build the future by of this category by defining, developing and introducing new propositions that bring ever-more rewarding and enjoyable experiences to consumers by meeting their needs. Specifically in this role you will:

  • Manage a sub-category within air treatment (i.e. air purifiers, humidfiiers, combis, cooling & heating) that consists out of a large portfolio of product ranges that generates significant part of the Philips Air treatment turnover and margin.

  • Define and craft the proposition roadmap based on deep consumer and market insights.

  • Drive and follow up the product-segment strategy definition; including technology and product roadmaps, as well as communication initiatives to drive market share.

  • Steer the integral product development (PDLM) process from start to end, taking initial ideas through to product development and prepare the launch for these propositions, working closely together with the commercial organizations across the globe.

  • Drive results through cooperating globally with cross-functional teams throughout the full value chain (consumer research, Innovation & development, design, marketing communications, sales organizations, etc).

  • Help to extend the lifecycle of existing products by contributing with your marketing views and passion for the consumer.

You are a part of

The global Philips Home Care team formed with Floor Care & Air businesses, within the Business Group Domestic Appliances. You will be working in a network of various stakeholders based in the Netherlands (e.g., consumer marketing team, central communication team, market intelligence specialists, pre-development team), China (R&D team, consumer marketing) and in the countries (e.g., marketing specialists, key account managers).

This team is passionate for the Air category being one of the fastest growing segments within Philips, with low consumer awareness and household penetration. You will be helping to unlock the full potential of the Air business together with our counterparts in the global markets, building brand preference and ultimately helping many more consumers to breathe healthy air at home.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master degree in BA, Marketing, Industrial Design Engineering or related fields with excellent academic track record.

  • At least 4 years of experience in an international business environment in the field of product management and/or consumer marketing including life cycle management.

  • Experience with product development, product launches and life cycle management. Experience in connected propositions, downstream marketing and/or digital marketing activation would be a plus.

  • Ability to translate consumer insights into strong value propositions: Define product strategy & innovation roadmap.

  • Strong analytical skills and the passion to drive business growth. Combined with the ability to think creatively, Can Do mentality and act pragmatically

  • Ability to work in a fast growing and rapidly changing, competitive market context

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with team virtually; with strong stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Fluency in written/spoken English
