The HR team

The HR team at Cognizant Netherlands is committed to supporting the company’s mission of engineering modern businesses to improve everyday lives. By fostering a supportive and innovative work environment, they help drive the success of both employees and the organization.

Cognizant Netherlands works in a 3 tier HR model. We work with an offshored HR shared service team, an offshored Talent Partner team and the local HRBP team. The HRBP role is the leading HR role in supporting our business leaders to achieve business growth, by applying strategic workforce planning, team development and associate career development.

The HRBP team members in the Netherlands are organized by Customer Accounts and take care of specific area’s of HR, to be rotated from time to time to gain a broader expertise in the broad HR field.

This HRBP will strongly support the (Dutch) consultation process and will be the leading role in managing the absence processes and become our Health care champion!. Contribution to several EMEA wide projects is also an option.

Responsibilities :

  • Business growth: The HRBP role is a high level advisor to our business leaders. This role supports and guides business leaders to create high performing teams and build their business based on associates strength and development. For now and for the future.

  • Performance Management : Developing and managing performance evaluation systems to ensure employees meet their potential and contribute to the company’s success.

  • Compliance and Policies : Ensuring all HR practices comply with local labor laws and company policies.

  • Consultation : In Cognizant, we value our consultation partners. This role will support and guide the consultation process to create a sustainable and mutual beneficial relationship.

  • Health & Absence : In alignment with the HRBP team members, managing of the relation, performance and development of the effectiveness of the (legislative) absence process, working to continuously improve the performance of the Health Service and support the line managers in managing illness cases in Netherlands.

  • Events : Together with the total team, we engage in the planning and/or execution of events to enhance engagement

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience in HR

  • Comfortable working within an ever-dynamic fast-paced and complex international environment

  • Self-starter, quick learner and an absolute team player

  • Fluency in Dutch & English (speaking and writing) is required for this role

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ready to adapt and work in a multicultural set up

  • System tech savvy; Good with data management and MS office skills
