About the Role & Program
Disneyland Resort Food & Beverage has 165 unique menus, each one developed and changed independently. The Menu Logistics and Planning Intern is a developmental opportunity to transform and improve the menu development and production process. Including research, current state assessment, document, and will provide recommendations for improvements for the menu development and production process to allow the organization to focus time and creativity on the most valuable offering to enhance the Guest experience.
This will include documenting the process from the perspective of the Operator, Commercial Business Transformation team, and impacted Resort Partners. Providing a true perspective assessment of current state, identifying gaps and recommendations with negotiated timelines. This transformation will provide clarity to our operators and reduce organizational complexity. This includes a data driven approach to menu change decisions through analytics and menu engineering. The recommendations will include training for the Operators so they can know what data to review in order to identify gaps and better understand the pre-process to submit sprint menu or critical menu requests. Additional responsibilities to include partnering with internal team members that impact the menu development process.
The Food & Beverage Standards and Integration Team will focus on developing interns through developmental tasks, regular learning assessments, and dedicated mentorship. This role will prepare the interns to improve his/her knowledge of menu development for the Food & Beverage business through Key Business Drivers while maintaining strong connection to the Disney brand.
What You Will Do
Commitment to excellence, which includes interacting with Operations teams, the broader Food & Beverage team , Pricing partners and other key support partners to explore opportunities, develop processes, and resolve any issues.
Developing skills to identify Key Business Drivers for menu intake and implementation processes.
Partner closely and collaborate with other Commercial Business Transformation team members, and work together to improve the menu development process
Participate in departmental meetings and communicate relevant information to Cast Members
Support local projects and monitor any potential impacts to the Guest and Cast experience.
Assist in maintaining documentation.
Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in Food & Beverage field
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications inclusive of Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet and Outlook
Previous experience as a Disney Cast Member
Required Education
- Current seniors or recent graduates of an accredited college/university within the last six (6) months
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Possess unrestricted work authorization

This internship is a primarily on-site position - Must be able to provide a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
Program length - The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 - June 2025
Work details - Must be able to work FULL TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship
Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Transportation - Must have reliable transportation to/from work
Housing - Must provide own housing for the duration internship program
