CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager (part-time) opening for our client in Anchorage, AK.

We are seeking a results-driven and assertive Part-Time Project Manager with Application Experience to help lead and drive forward application-related initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in organizing efforts, holding teams accountable, and ensuring that projects move forward—especially in environments where team availability may be limited. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable providing direction and leadership to keep projects on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage application-related projects from initiation through completion.
Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and resource-loaded schedules to guide project execution.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and manage dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
Proactively steer projects in the right direction, providing clear guidance and direction to teams.
Identify resourcing needs, address bandwidth issues, and creatively problem-solve around staff availability or engagement challenges.
Maintain accountability across all stakeholders and ensure deliverables are met.
Conduct regular status updates and communicate risks, roadblocks, and progress to stakeholders.
Coordinate with business users, technical teams, and external vendors to align on goals and timelines.
Facilitate effective meetings and follow-through to ensure outcomes are implemented.
Support application implementations, upgrades, integrations, or system migrations.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist with change management as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong background in project management, especially with application implementation and support projects.
Proficiency in creating WBS, resource loading, and managing complex project plans.
Excellent leadership and communication skills—must be comfortable pushing back, holding people accountable, and driving clarity in ambiguous environments.
Experience managing teams or stakeholders with limited availability or competing priorities.
Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Familiarity with common project tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Trello, Asana, etc.).
Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
PMP, CSM, or other PM certifications preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Experience managing cross-functional business and technical teams.
Familiarity with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, or custom systems).
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Comfortable creating structure, driving decision-making, and turning high-level goals into actionable plans.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65.00/hour to $75.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
