JOB SUMMARY

The DAIE team builds and maintains systems across the data journey enabling reporting throughout the company. By leveraging data analytics, reporting, and automation, our aim is to serve as a key component of the decision-making process.

Techtronic Industries is looking for a talented Analytics Manager with a strong technical background to help shape the future of our enterprise (supply chain, finance, sales, distribution, manufacturing, product) data capabilities efforts across multiple areas such as data-preprocessing, data warehousing, data quality, advanced analytics, and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES / SKILLS

  • Leverages industry methods to design and create best in class data models to support world class reporting and visuals.

  • Collaborates with business teams to understand their business processes and functional requirements, to create a plan, and to design and deliver decision support on committed timelines.

  • Develops new and improved current data models and BI reports (i.e. Power BI, Automated Emails)

  • Ensure that existing automated reports are functioning properly with high quality data (must be willing to learn and understand the business to validate data integrity).

  • Designs, implements, and monitors automated and manual data quality tools. Creates and implements data quality KPI’s.

  • Provides tools and consultation for business users to make data-driven decisions to enhance profits and reduce costs by building upon our data & analytics platform

  • Publishes release notes, run books, work instructions, process flows, and written / oral presentations to represent work products.

  • Trains users and leads adoption / change management efforts for solutions developed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of work experience in business intelligence, business analytics, data science or a comparable data environment

  • 5+ years of work experience developing and deploying enterprise BI reports, preferably with Power BI – proficiency with DAX is expected.

  • Advanced skills in SQL and Data Modeling. Experience with Snowflake & DBT would be highly valued.

  • Intermediate experience with Python, preferably in a data engineering or data analytics environment

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work location (Anderson, SC). Hybrid arrangements are a possibility depending on experience etc.

  • Business acumen in supply chain or finance in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment

  • Experience with the Azure Suite (ie. Databricks, Power BI)

  • Experience with Apache Airflow, Prefect or similar workflow monitoring tool

  • Experience with Apache Spark or large-scale data processing

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work within tight deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail
