Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer who will play a crucial role in
building, customizing, and maintaining our online store on the Shopify platform.
The ideal candidate will be a Shopify whiz with a strong foundation in front-end
development languages and frameworks, a passion for clean and efficient code,
and a keen eye for responsive design. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, user-friendly e-commerce experiences that drive sales and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate design mockups, wireframes, and user stories into functional and responsive Shopify themes.
Develop and customize Shopify themes from scratch or by leveraging existing templates, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with business goals.
Implement front-end features and functionalities specific to Shopify, including product pages, shopping carts, checkout experiences, and user accounts.
Integrate third-party Shopify apps and plugins to enhance store functionality and user experience.
Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to Shopify best practices and Liquid templating language.
Optimize the Shopify store for speed and responsiveness across various devices and platforms.
Work collaboratively with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and data flow within the Shopify platform.
Troubleshoot and fix bugs on the Shopify storefront to ensure a smooth user experience.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, theme development best practices, and front-end development trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in front-end development with a strong portfolio showcasing Shopify theme development projects.
Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including a modern front-end framework like React or Vue.js).
Solid understanding of responsive web design (RWD) principles and best practices.
Proven experience working with the Shopify platform and Shopify Liquid templating language.
Experience integrating third-party Shopify apps and plugins is a plus.
Experience with web accessibility (WCAG) guidelines is a plus.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience with headless Shopify and server-side rendering is a plus.
Familiarity with build tools and version control systems (Git).
Experience with unit testing and debugging tools.
