Description Are you looking for a long-term contract / temporary position? Robert Half is hiring an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk for a company in the Service industry. Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, processing expense reports, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. We seek out ambitious professionals who are creators, leaders, and pioneers. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position.
Your responsibilities
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Provide support to internal business partners
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling Requirements - Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Oracle experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Verify Invoices
Experience with Enter Invoices
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Practical knowledge of accruals
Adeptness in Code Invoices
Background working with general ledger
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Accrual Accounting experience highly preferred
Deep understanding of Concur
Command of expense reports
Earlier work involving Debit Credit
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
