Anoka-Hennepin Schools Summer Worker - Job Coaches in Anoka, Minnesota

JOB COACHES - Several temporary summer worker Job Coach positions available. DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 17 - June 28 June 12 - Teacher set-up day June 17 - June 21, Monday thru Friday, 3.75 hours per day; NO SCHOOL on June 19th June 24 - June 28, Monday thru Friday, 3.75 hours per day; Assignments will be made based on student needs. SITES: Multiple Work Sites within the Anoka-Hennepin School District and/or multiple non-District sites PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist high school special needs students (at their school or in the community) in a variety of work sites. Students will have a variety of ability levels. Exploration of work sites. Skills training at work sites in a variety of areas such as landscape, housekeeping, food service, custodial, office and warehouse. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to work with disabled students under the direction of work experience handicapped coordinators. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability / desire to work cooperatively with department and district staff. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/on site. RATE OF PAY: New Hires $17.00/hour; Current Job Coaches accepting employment in their same category shall be paid at their school year ending hourly rate on the salary schedule through their summer employment, including seniority and academic credits.
