Position Overview:
The primary role of the Emergency Room Technician is to perform various patient care activities to assist the Emergency Department Nursing personnel and physicians and to care for the personal needs of the patients. The Emergency Department Technician performs non-clinical activities and other unit tasks as delegated by the Staff RN to support the interdisciplinary care team.

EDUCATION
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience required
LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support Certification - BLS
Emergency Medical Technician - EMT
OR Licensed Paramedic - LP
EXPERIENCE
Acute care hospital experience as an Emergency Room Technician or similar experience preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
In depth knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to work with all levels of nursing personnel and physicians and assist them in a resource capacity.
Effective English written and verbal communication skills.
Must learn operations of relevant equipment.

Pay Range is $31.97 to $40.15 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
