Description
Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist for a contract to hire vacancy with an expanding team for a local Fox Valley company. The Accounts Payable Specialist will process expense reports, resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments. This Accounts Payable Specialist opportunity will be located in the Fox Valley area and will be a contract to permanent position.
Your responsibilities in this role
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Provide support to internal business partners
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
