As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and families, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and families at the front desk.
Troubleshoot issues with patients using the new iPad system for check-in/screening.
Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle referrals.
Provide information about appointments, insurance, and payments.
Assist with the smooth transfer of patients between departments.
Perform administrative tasks such as chart prepping and maintaining medical records.
Coordinate patient appointments and information flow between departments and outside organizations.
Day-to-Day Duties:
Receive records via fax to email, save them as PDFs, and upload them to patient charts.
Notify staff of patient results and new patient documents.
Print and manage records.
Complete deadline-based work, ensuring records for Friday's appointments are prepped by Wednesday.
Pull records 3-4 days in advance.
Check Medicaid status in the system each morning.
Occasionally retrieve paper charts from the basement and scan/file them back into the system.
Utilize an outside service for the majority of medical records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Administrative experience (filing, scanning, data entry).
Technical abilities (Adobe, PDF, Outlook, Excel).
Ability to work under deadlines without supervision.
Prior experience in the healthcare industry.
Experience handling medical records, posting payments, and insurance verification.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
