Ankura Associate (Conflict Analyst) – Client Intake & Conflict Management (Remote) in Arizona

This position supports the Conflict Management team, within the Ankura Business Systems organization.

Role Overview

The Associate - Client Intake & Conflict Management will be responsible for supporting Ankura’s client intake process. This position will perform research, entity validation and risk assessment for clients under the direction of the firm’s Executive Director of Conflict Management. This position requires a high level of critical thinking to ensure potential risk is properly identified in accordance with the firm’s policies and strategies.

This position can be remote from an area near any Ankura office in the US.

Working Hours:11AM - 8PM Eastern Time/10AM Central Time - 7PM Central Time/9AM Mountain Time - 6PM Mountain Time/8AM Pacific Time- 5PM Pacific Time


  • Ensure sufficient information is gathered to perform a conflict of interest analysis, which may involve discussions with senior staff and independent research through external sources, including Pacer and others, as needed.

  • Perform analysis via conflicts analytics took, using policies and procedures as guidance in issue identification and resolution.

  • Identify and summarize all potential conflict of interest issues for resolution with the team supervisor.

  • Draft agreements for and maintain ethical walls, where appropriate.

  • Maintain conflict database, ensuring all data is accurate through quality control reviews.

  • Other duties as requested.


Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to identify and analyze complex issues (critical thinking)

  • Strong research skills

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills

  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision

  • General understanding of the legal and/or business consulting industries preferred

  • General understanding of conflict of interest and new client intake principles preferred

  • Fundamental knowledge of Miscrosoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat)

  • Experience with IntaApp Open, similar conflict software, or Boolean search logic preferred

Relevant Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Prior experience in client intake, AML, conflict analysis or the legal field.
