The Workers Compensation Clerk will provide support with Creekstones
Workers Compensation Program by partnering with the EHS Manager and the
Health Services Department in supporting with all Team Member injuries
and workers compensation claims. The Workers Compensation Clerk will
also strive to provide all injured Team Members with the highest level
of customer service and respond to their questions and/or concerns. This
position will service as a liaison between Team Member and assigned
adjuster throughout the claim process and maintain a strong
communication channel with each. The ideal candidate must be analytical,
detail-oriented and must have great communication skills.
- Log in all Workers claims and maintains appropriate files and
records.
- Complies and upholds proper confidentiality as required by the EHS
Department.
- Complies with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Serves as liaison between Creekstone, Team Members, and Compensation
Insurance Carrier, and Physicians.
- Verifies accuracy on claims.
- Track all approved time off due to job-related injury to verify
Workers Compensation pay.
- Follow up with assigned insurance adjuster and complete any wage
statements and supplemental injury forms when needed.
- Ensures all injuries are recorded and documented regardless of
severity.
- Partner with respective HR personnel to monitor and track all FMLA,
medical leave or time off resulting from workers compensation claim.
- Provides guidance and support to all injured Team Members on all
workers compensation questions and serve as a resource person.
- Follow up with injured Team Member within 24 hours of injury to
complete a welfare check and provide any needed support regarding
their injury.
- Maintain Team Member confidence and protects operations by keeping
information confidential and secure.
- Responsible for timely and accurate claims management.
- Updated and/or provide data and metrics for cases to EHS team.
- Answers staff questions and supports in the understanding of the
process and continuous improvement based on feedback and areas of
concern/bottlenecks.
- Monitors all open workers compensation claims and the processing of
medical and indemnity benefits.
- Attends workshops when necessary.
- Transports Team Members to and from work-related injury
appointments.
- Communicates all updates regarding Team Members health to
appropriate personnel to ensure physical restrictions are
accommodated and followed.
- Review all injury reports for validity, completeness, process forms,
and submit to reporting software.
- Clerical work for EHS department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Schedule is 8:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
