ManTech IT Support Training Specialist in Arlington, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented IT Support Training Specialist to join our team based out of Arlington, VA.

The IT Support Training Specialist must exhibit good judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adherence to professional standards and operational and security guidelines as defined by the Government and ManTech International, Inc.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide standards, services, and guidance on an IT support focused training program designed to enable government agency IT support personnel to better provide support to consular sections.

Train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars.

Coordinate training activities and create an annual international and domestic training schedule by working with support staff in remote facilities and course management.

Design curriculum for training programs, including but not limited to: content outlines, learning objectives, interactive simulations, and knowledge assessment questions.

Develop interactive training, including but not limited to: storyboard development, screenshot capture, web design, and script creation.

Prepare student materials and training documentation (course manuals, workbooks, instructor notes, handouts, and course evaluation forms).

Ensure all training materials are accurate, clear, concise, instructionally sound, and directly support learning objectives; ensure materials are 508 compliant.

Review student performance and support requests to determine training impact and conduct the research necessary to develop and revise training materials.

Provide direct customer support through class portal, email, and direct messaging.

Create and maintain computer images and custom scripts used in the classroom environment.

Prepare reports and monitor training tasks in support of the goals of the Contractor Program Manager and the government sponsor(s) using standard training standards and software.

Provide input to the Training Manager and the Contractor Program Manager on areas of continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

8 years of experience in Information Technology.

Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Information Technology OR

Information technology certifications (Comp TIA A+, CTT+, MS-MCT, SAFe, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design

Experience performing deployment, installation, training, and support of new Windows based computer systems. Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.

Experience in Customer Service.

Understand computer functions, related technical terminology, and how they are applied in everyday business situations.

Experience using Microsoft 365 productivity tools.

Experience with multimedia development tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.) preferred.

Must be able to travel up to 75% domestic and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior technical training experience preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to physically lift equipment weight up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to perform installation work in constrained spaces like under work desks, in small cubicles, and counter window environments.

Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.

Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customers.

Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.

Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.

Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.

The majority of work will be performed within a professional office environment. However, training environment setup can require the individual to lift and move computer and other equipment up to 50 lbs.in weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded. Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under/behind furniture and server racks.

Must be able to fly on international flights up to 18 hours.
