Amazon Private Pricing Investments Lead, Private Pricing Programs and Experiences (3PX) in Arlington, Virginia

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a someone who can apply their business development and program management skills join the Private Pricing Programs and Experiences (3PX) team housed within the Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization. You will be working closely across internal teams in a highly visible role, focused on driving growth and scale of the Private Pricing program.

Key job responsibilities

This is a new role under our Private Pricing Investments pillar of 3PX, a team conceived from the belief that many current and future AWS customers can realize more value from cloud by deepening their relationships with AWS Private Pricing program. The Private Pricing Investments pillar focuses on improving governance of the investments, ensuring the right type of investment, and amount are invested to drive joint outcomes for Private Pricing customers. The pillar also looks to streamline and simplify the end to end process from both external and internal customers perspectives. In this role, you will refine mental models and operationalization plan around investments. You will be responsible for leading experiments on investment opportunities, and driving down defects in the process. The outcomes you will deliver are accelerated investment decision-making, clarity on investments impacts to AWS, and enhanced customer experience. You will do this work in close partnership with GDSP-wide teams that own the program experience (e.g. VoC, Channel Services, Product Management and Analytics & Growth, SCE) and AWS-wide teams impacted by your work (e.g. Sales, Product Management).

• Develop and enhance Private Pricing Investments Mental Models

• Develop and implement standardized process and procedures for existing Private Pricing Investments to drive more efficient internal operations and drive consistent application across the organization

• Lead projects or experiments to derive recommendations from data and Voice of Customer (VoC)

• Establish scalable mechanisms to measure effectiveness and ROI of programs and track defects to drive continuous improvement

• Write data-backed documents to gain alignment with cross-functional stakeholder management and senior stakeholders across GDSP and AWS

A day in the life

The ideal candidate will need to be endlessly curious about the Private Pricing program with AWS enterprise customers. Candidates must demonstrate ability to roll-up their sleeves to dive deep into details, take ownership as an individual contributor to deliver quick wins, make data-driven & high-judgement decisions, and drive alignment across stakeholder teams. You must thrive in an ambiguous environment, be self-driven and enjoy working cross-functionally to influence internal teams at all levels (e.g. senior leaders). Finally, it is critical that you are excited to help build a customer-obsessed model for the next phase of Private Pricing’s growth.

About the team

The Private Pricing team is instrumental in driving deal strategy, structuring, negotiations, and execution of private deals. Private Pricing deals consist of large, strategic, or highly competitive commercial agreements with customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of leading complex initiatives, deriving priorities from data and anecdotes, building requirements, managing stakeholders and driving results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with technology transformation initiatives

  • Experience in B2B tech sales

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
