Moog is looking for an Electrical Systems Engineering Manager for our
Spacecraft Enterprise located in Arvada Co. The spacecraft enterprise is a
business unit within Moog Space and Defense Group designs, develops,

Specific responsibilities:
Lead and manage team of electrical engineers of various specialties and
experience levels to achieve design, integration, production and test of
spacecraft avionics, power and wiring subsystems and associated ground
support equipment. Function as engineering manager of matrixed organization.
Deploy engineers and establish job assignments and objectives. Includes
proposal support for new programs as well as various stages of in process
progr
Conduct periodic performance feedback and career management dialogues with
subordinate engineers
Define and staff team skill mix and depth needs in support of current and
future spacecraft enterprise programs
Establish training programs and mentoring programs for engineers including use
of tools, processes, requirements, test, and production
Experience interfacing with customer representatives and higher-level
leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or related field
10 years minimum experience in aspects of Space or Aeronatics Electrical
Systems / Avionics, Power and Wiring Subsystems
Demonstrated technical depth in avionics power and wiring subsystems
integration and design, operation and test including specification and
procurement of components comprising this system
Experience with electrical subsystem test and integration
Possess technical knowledge and personal integrity required to earn the
respect of subordinates.
Experience interfacing with customer representatives and higher-level
leadership
Knowledge and awareness of analysis tools and processes applied in design and
integration of APW subsystems
Organize, allocate, direct, and motivate the resources of this group to
provide high quality engineering work which is consistent with the companies
objectives.
Will be responsible for resource management performance to development
schedule and cost performance.
Very good verbal, written communication, organizational, and
interpersonal skills
Experience in leadership of engineering teams spanning much of the skill sets
needed
This position requires access to US Export Controlled Information
Preferred Qualifications:
Management appropriate skills for Project Proposals, Cost Account
Management, Project Scheduling, and Earned Value Measurement (EVM).
Experience in aspects of Space Electrical Systems / Avionics, Power and
Wiring Subsystems for Spacecraft or Launch Vehicle upper stages
Experience specifically in Spacecraft or Launch Vehicle upper stages
Prior hands-on experience in design of select components comprising APW
systems
Prior hands-on experience in acceptance testing of select components
comprising APW system
Space Systems Power System expertise
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
